The newest Halloween Event featured the ability to catch certain Pokemon and obtain certain Items. It spanned from 30th October - 20th November 2024 and reused content previously in the original PBB.

Pokemon[]

Featuring in the event, players could catch 2 Pokémon exotic to Roria which were not Roaming Encounters. Both Pokémon only showed up at night, so Dusk Balls were the best on them. The first one was an imposter of Pikachu, taking over its wild encounter in Gale Forest overnight. It appeared as Pikachu at first, but instantly acted weirdly and revealed that it was actually Mimikyu, making it the first Alola Pokémon to appear as Wild Pokémon on the main island of Roria.

The other Pokémon was the second event-exclusive Mythical Pokémon in this game — Marshadow. It appeared on one of many locations overnight. Its appearance was denoted by a large, dark portal which the player would get flipped into a place in alternate dimension called Shadow Void. Run all the way to the end, then stand still for 3 seconds, and a pair of fiery eyes would appear on the ground just behind the player. Click on it, and Marshadow would arise from the shadow for battle. Be warned that player only had 1 chance to fight Marshadow, so save beforehand and turn off Autosave.

Gale Forest. Took over Pikachu's Wild Encounter overnight and its encounter rate remained at 3%, which was the same as Pikachu. When encountered, it first appeared as Pikachu, but immediately acted strangely, blowing its cover. 26/10-20/11/2024
Mimikyu

Busted Form Ghost Fairy

Mimikyu-Busted SM
If Mimikyu is hit by an attack, its disguise serves as a decoy and blocks it. However, this shuts down its Signature Ability Disguise for the remainder of battle, allowing players to finally damage Mimikyu for real.
Marshadow

Fighting Ghost

Warning: Players can only battle this Pokémon once! Save beforehand and turn off Autosave.

Shadow Void. Overnight only. The portal would appear randomly on Lagoona Lake, Routes 9 to 12 and 15, as well as Cosmeos Valley each sunset. Once stepped on the portal, it would flip the screen and send player into Shadow Void. Walk all the way to the end, stand still for 3 seconds and click on the fiery eyes that show up behind the player. Marshadow would then rise from the ground, beginning the fight.

Another couple of re-coloured Pokémon have been featured, but they were found as Roaming Pokémon with scarce encounter rates to begin with, but were still slightly easier to find compared to regular Roaming Pokémon. Despite being a re-colouration instead of Shiny Pokémon, White Haunter along with its final form Halloween Gengar always have the glittering effect of Shiny Pokémon when sent out for battles.

A special Mega Evolution of Halloween Gengar has also been added. It requires Gengarite H, which was sold in Colosseum Marketplace during the event, attached on Halloween Gengar to activate.

Resort and Collosseum Map Update[]

During the Halloween Event, the Trade Resort and Battle Collosseum had exclusive Halloween-themed redesigns that were not in a previous update. They were designed by "nopat", a developer in PBF, and lasted throughout the event.

Trivia[]

  • There was going to be a 'Trick or Treat' event during the 2024 Halloween. However, this was cancelled due to the developer working on it having to leave.
  • In the original PBB, the Gengar and Mimikyu were two different Halloween Events. These have, however, been combined in one.
